Frequently asked Questions
A good property shoot should feel straightforward. These answers explain how Skycrafted Imaging plans, captures, and delivers real estate media for land, ranch, residential, commercial, and brand-content clients.
If your question is specific to a property, the fastest answer starts with the address, acreage, and target listing date. Request a quote and we will confirm the details that matter to your shoot.
Booking & scheduling
-
Book as early as you can once you know the target listing date. Earlier notice gives us more room to coordinate access, account for drive time, check any airspace considerations, and choose the best available window for the property. If your timeline is tight, send the details anyway; we will assess availability and recommend the most practical plan.
-
Start with the property address, acreage if applicable, property type, target listing date, and the services you are considering. It also helps to know about gates, access contacts, key features, occupied spaces, seller restrictions, or anything that needs to be shown. You do not need a finished shot list before you contact us.
-
We plan around the date you need the listing to launch, then confirm whether the requested scope and schedule fit that window. Standard delivery is a curated, MLS-ready gallery and reel in 3–5 business days after the shoot. Share a fixed deadline early so it can be considered before the date is reserved.
-
Weather can affect both the quality and safety of ground and aerial work. If conditions are not suitable, we will communicate with you about the best available rescheduling option. A property deserves coverage that looks intentional, not a rushed compromise made under poor conditions.
Production day
-
Prepare the property as you want a buyer to experience it. Clear visual distractions, open the spaces that need to be shown, make sure key areas are accessible, and tell us about features that should not be missed. For land and ranch properties, share access instructions and a clear list of the improvements, entrances, or areas that need context
-
Not always. What matters is that we have reliable access, permission to photograph, and a contact who can answer time-sensitive questions if needed. If the property is occupied, gated, remote, or has special access requirements, confirm the plan before shoot day.
-
Timing depends on acreage, property type, number of structures, requested services, access, and the visual complexity of the property. A home and a multi-structure ranch do not require the same plan. We confirm the expected scope and timing when the shoot is scheduled.
-
Yes. The three-step process is designed around a Part 107 pilot capturing aerial and ground coverage in one planned visit when conditions and scope allow. Combining the work helps the gallery and reel feel like one coherent story.
-
Tell us before the shoot. We can plan around the realities of an occupied home, working site, livestock, or business operation, but safety, access, and the intended use of the property always come first. Specific instructions help us make good decisions before arriving.
Pricing & value
-
Quotes are built around the property and the marketing goal, not a one-size-fits-all checklist. Address, acreage, property type, access, requested services, travel, airspace considerations, and target listing date all help determine the right scope. You will know what is being planned before you reserve the shoot.
-
A simple image count does not explain whether the property’s scale, setting, access, architecture, or key features will be understood. The goal is not to produce more files. It is to create a cohesive story that helps the right buyer see why the property deserves attention. For a higher-value or hard-to-photograph property, that planning is part of the value.
-
Yes. Tell us what you are marketing and what needs to come through online. We will recommend a focused scope rather than asking you to choose a package without context. Some properties benefit most from strong ground photography; others need aerial coverage, cinematic video, or a combination to make the story clear.
-
Yes. Travel is planned as part of the scope. If a property is outside a core route or requires extended drive time, any travel considerations are confirmed in writing before the date is reserved. This lets you make an informed decision without surprises after scheduling.
Delivery & licensing
-
Skycrafted Imaging delivers a curated, MLS-ready gallery and reel in 3–5 business days after the shoot. If your listing timeline has a hard deadline, share it before booking so the delivery window can be confirmed as part of the plan.
-
Your delivery is tailored to the scope confirmed for your property. It may include a curated gallery, aerial images, ground images, cinematic video, a listing reel, or other agreed brand-content deliverables. The exact deliverables are confirmed before the shoot date is reserved.
-
Yes. Delivered media is licensed for your marketing as part of the Skycrafted Imaging process. If you need a particular use confirmed—such as broker, builder, developer, advertising, or long-term brand use—raise it during quoting so the intended use is clear in writing.
-
The gallery and reel are designed to be MLS-ready and useful across your property marketing. If a platform has a particular format, file-size, or duration requirement, tell us before the shoot so it can be considered in the deliverables.
-
Review the delivery against the agreed scope and send a clear note describing the question or concern. We will review it with you and determine the appropriate next step. Requests for additional coverage, a different scope, or new content are considered separately from the original shoot plan.
Service areas
-
Skycrafted Imaging serves a 22-county footprint across three regional hubs: Bryan–College Station / Brazos Valley, Greater Houston, and Greater Austin. Named coverage includes Brazos, Grimes, Montgomery, Harris, Washington, Waller, Walker, Travis, Williamson, Fort Bend, and Bastrop counties.
-
Yes. The named counties are regional anchors, not the full service list. Send the address, acreage, and target listing date, and we will confirm whether the property is within the 22-county footprint or whether a tailored travel plan is possible.
-
Yes. The work is planned for land and ranch, residential, commercial, development, and brand-content needs. The visual approach changes with the property: acreage may need scale and access; a city property may need architecture, usable spaces, surroundings, or commercial context to come through clearly.
-
We can assess remote, large-acreage, and multi-structure properties as part of the quote. Share the address, acreage, access details, and target listing date early. Extended drive time and the additional planning such properties require are addressed before the booking is confirmed.
Drone
-
Yes. Skycrafted Imaging uses FAA Part 107 certified pilots for commercial drone operations. That certification is a core part of operating aerial real estate media responsibly
-
Possibly, but eligibility depends on the exact property location, applicable airspace, and conditions at the time of the planned flight. For properties near Easterwood, share the address early. We will review the location and determine whether airspace authorization is required before confirming the aerial plan.
-
Some locations in the Greater Houston and Greater Austin areas may be in controlled or otherwise restricted airspace. We check the exact location rather than making assumptions based on the city name. When authorization is required, it must be addressed before flight; authorization needs can affect scheduling and the final aerial scope.
-
We will communicate the limitation and discuss the strongest available ground-based plan. We do not promise aerial imagery where it cannot be completed safely and legally. The goal is to protect the listing schedule while keeping the media thoughtful and compliant.
-
Skycrafted Imaging is licensed and insured. If a property, broker, or site requires documentation for access, ask during the planning stage so the requirement can be confirmed before the shoot date.
